Afternoon Darkness by Nicholas Meehan
This entire picture was actually just a snap and go but ended up to be more than just a view. I took this in Bayonne park overlooking the bridge as well as the low-tide bay. The clouds played a major roll along with the sun to give it that darkening look which also made it somewhat more interesting than an everyday sunset. I did not modify the picture in any way because I let the natural presence of everything coming together to create such a sight. From the clouds, to the sun reflecting off the water, just the sun’s natural light created this whole image. Now that I think about it having taken this photograph actually wasn’t a mistake at all.

River of Dreams by Joseph SIlvagnoli
I took this photo using a Nikon camera. I stepped off the ledge and held the camera parallel to the walls looking down the river. I took this photo because it showed a great example of reflection. You can see all the details of the trees and other things in the river due to the reflection. Not much editing was needed. I just cropped the outside a little bit and made it a little brighter. It is my best photo because it clearly shows the use of the element reflection in a photo. It also took several tries to get this photo right and that is why I believe that it is my best one.
Water Drops by Carlos Jarrin
I took this photo in Yanticaw park the day after it rained, I was looking for a good photo for texture and found this great tree that still had rain drops on it. This photo could count as odd angle or texture. I used it for texture. I tried focusing the lens to the rain drop and got a good focused photo. It is one of my best photographs because I like the way the rain drop shines.
The Bird of Wonder by Paul Coolack
I took this photo because it is framing the face of the bird. I found this poor fellow in the back of Bagel Boys owner’s truck. As I was looking for a good shot I came upon him. Looking through the tiny squares wondering where he is so I took the picture of him. I choose the black and white colors for respect for the bird. Meaning for the grey day he has been having or has had in the box with multiple others. As for how the camera setting was on close up so I could capture the detail on the bird. In my eyes I believe it is a great framing photo and love taking photos of animals more then anything.

Conjoining Seasons by Sarah Tolve
While New Jersey was having a snowstorm I noticed that the flowers outside were holding up the fresh snow. I realized how cool it looked so I used my macro setting and found the best looking patch of flowers I could. In Photoshop I fixed the white balance and cropped the photo. I believe this is my best photo because it has many different textures, a cool angle from being so close to my subject, and it is strange because it involves snow (which is associated with winter) and flowers (associated with spring).
